Goa
The beaches of Donna Paula, Colva, Anjuna, Vagator and Calangute are still abodes of peace, close to small towns with Latin temperaments and ancient churches. Vast expanses of palm-fringed beaches promise golden tans and azure-coloured seas, with snow-white surf, are nature's gift to these idyllic surroundings for a timely, relaxed and unforgettable experience.
The Goan people are friendly, fun-loving and full of laughter, dance and music. The Carnival in February turns the entire countryside into a fiesta land, with King Momo leading dazzling floats depicting local colour.

Kovalam
In Kerala, south of Trivandrum, lies Kovalam, a number of sheltered, natural, palm-fringed bays of white sand & deep-azure waters with playful surf. Sun-kissed beaches, free from high waves, provide the ideal holiday.

Mahabalipuram
Mahabalipuram or Mamallapuram, now a beach resort, was formerly the main port of the Pallava dynasty. Its foam streaked beach lies a mere 68 km. from Madras. The turquoise blue waters of the Bay of Bengal caress the sand and exquisite rock-cut caves and carvings encompass picturesque coves. A walking tour of the village, fishing excursions, boating facilities at the Muttakadu Boat Club are for the days you can drag yourself away from the beach.

Lakshadweep
 Ten of the twenty seven scattered islands of Lakshadweep are inhabited. A 3 to 4 day's stay will ensure you leave your cares behind, while you seep in the warmth of this tropical climate in summer or winter.
Surrounded by a coral reef, uninhabited and virgin, is the Island of Bangaram, one of the most beautiful palm-fringed coral islands in the Arabian Sea. The shallow lagoons are magnificent, natural aquariums for marine life and ornamental fish, threaded by an almost continuous line of silver sand beaches and fringed by dense rows of coconut palms. These could well be the last of the undiscovered islands, unexploited by modern civilization.
Agatti, which is the nearest airport, connects Lakshadweep with Cochin.

Varkala
This town, 51 km north of Trivandrum and 20 km south of Quilon, is known for the Vishnu shrine, dedicated to Lord Janardhana. Varkala is a seaside resort, with mineral water springs on the beach. There is a 2 km-long tunnel cut, for the canal route to Quilon and Trivandrum.
